SKIN - Jarkko Nikara / Sayaka Adachi - Lake City Rally 2017 - Subaru Impreza N4

Image
Jarkko Nikara driving the Tommi Mäkinen Racing Subaru has got to be one of the most iconic liveries seen in the Finnish Championship in recent years. He drove the full 2017 season in these colours, finishing 3rd in the standings.   Last rally of the season was held in Tampere area, the Real Park - Lake City Rally. Unfortunately this specific rally was the worst of the year for him, as he faced troubles already on the rally opening super special stage driven in the parking lot of a shopping center, and lost almost two minutes.  The remainder of the rally did not go well either, as another 3 minutes was lost on the first stage of the second day. Overall, the season went pretty well for him considering the dated Subaru against the new R5 cars of his competitors.  DOWNLOAD HERE v2 updatelog May 2023: resolution to 4k (re-textured almost everything) more accurate positioning of everything shading alpha levels fixed issue with external scrape being off-sized new scrape layer external windo

Hi! Just a quick little update to a previous skin. The 2021 model of the Hyundai i20 WRC was added into NGP7 so i felt it would be nice to convert the skin I made for the 2020 version to it. So here it is, no story this time because you can read it from the other post.  < < < DOWNLOAD > > > !! MODEL is the i20_wrc_21 !! Again, i'm using the base Hyundai skin made by PetrovPG, thank you again for letting me edit and use it further.  If you are searching the skin for 2020 version of the car, it's here

SKIN - Tommi Mäkinen / Seppo Harjanne - Ford Escort Cosworth GrpA - 1000 Lakes Rally 1994

Image
If you are not familiar with the 1994 edition of the 1000 Lakes Rally yet, it was wild. Maybe most memorably, it is remembered as the first win and worldwide breakthrough an upcoming Finnish star driver, Tommi Mäkinen.  The rally started with two clear favourites. 4-time world champion Juha Kankkunen and a 30-year old Tommi Mäkinen. As a preparation for the rally, the pair had battled in Mänttä-ralli a couple weeks earlier. This was the first time Tommi managed to beat Juha fair and square. As Miki Biasion had stepped out of the 1000 Lakes, Ford's manufacturer team had called Tommi, the local star, to drive their car alongside Francois Delecour.  On SS2 Lankamaa, Juha famously rolled his Celica on his home road, and lost his chance of victory, despite him driving a madman run to finish in 9th. Incredibly, this stage also caught Ari Vatanen in his Red Bull-sponsored Escort Cosworth , as he lost his wheel and retired from the event. The local spectators were bummed to see two of th

SKIN - Teemu Suninen / Mikko Markkula - VW Polo R5 - Secto Rally Finland 2021

2021 was a year of highs and lows for Teemu Suninen. Starting off with a SS1 crash in Monte Carlo started a snowball effect which gradually led to him being replaced by Adrien Fourmaux at M-Sport's WRC roster. Undeniable highlight of the year was his home rally, the newly rebranded Secto Rally Finland. He entered the rally with Printsport's Polo R5 with the backing of a Finnish businessman Markku Rautio.  He well and truly delivered a brilliant performance, winning WRC2 comfortably over the competitors like Mads Östberg, Emil Lindholm and Nikolay Gryazin.  In the pictures here you see him on SS1, resulting in 7th best time in WRC2, 1.56,0. Differently to the usual schedule, the Harju stage was driven in the middle of the day on Friday and at night time on Saturday evening.  This result launched him into getting a seat at Hyundai's WRC2 team, and even getting into the WRC car for Rally Monza due to Ott's absence. In the latter half of the year he actually drove 5 consecu

SKIN - Esapekka Lappi / Janne Ferm - Citroen C2 R2 - Rallye Deutschland 2012

Image
Continuing with the same theme as the last post, Esapekka Lappi and the year 2012. Rally Germany was his first WRC event abroad, after entering into Rally Finland twice. It was also only his second tarmac event in his career. For this experience gaining trip he took part in the old trusty "keskoskaappi" with the Italian Vieffecorse team even though he had already transferred into the 4WD cars for the season.  The rally started at a steady pace, being 3rd in the FWD class after Leg 1, just 44 seconds from the leading Elfyn Evans. Evans would continue his strong showing on Leg2 and win the event and eventually the whole championship.   On leg2 things went not so well, as he went off halfway through the legendary 46km Panzerplatte stage and damaged the radiator, forcing him into superrally.  On leg 3 bad luck continued and he would be forced to retire on the last stage with mechanical issues.   This rally would eventually be his last one (so far) in a non-4WD car. < < <

SKIN - Esapekka Lappi / Janne Ferm - Ford Fiesta S2000 - Kerava SM-Ralli 2012

Image
2012 was a true breakthrough season for Esapekka Lappi. Only driving FWD cars up to this point, the Finnish prodigy stepped up to a Printsport-entered Fiesta S2000 for the Finnish Championship. And what a year that would be.  The theme of the season was clear from the start. 3 dominant victories in 3 rallies on the winter season gave him a comfortable lead. But he didn't stop there. The summer season had 4 rallies, which he also won them all. The Finnish championship was confirmed in the 2nd to last event at Merikarvia with a winning margin of 1.49,9. The livery is from the last event at Kerava, where he got the special champion decals on the car On the whole year, he won outright 10 out of 13 rallies he entered. It could be argued that his car was above the competition, but it's still a remarkable achievement to be totally unbeaten for the whole season.  From here on, the world was open. Joining Skoda Motorsport at the end of the season started with a win by over two minutes
