Continuing with the same theme as the last post, Esapekka Lappi and the year 2012. Rally Germany was his first WRC event abroad, after entering into Rally Finland twice. It was also only his second tarmac event in his career. For this experience gaining trip he took part in the old trusty "keskoskaappi" with the Italian Vieffecorse team even though he had already transferred into the 4WD cars for the season.  The rally started at a steady pace, being 3rd in the FWD class after Leg 1, just 44 seconds from the leading Elfyn Evans. Evans would continue his strong showing on Leg2 and win the event and eventually the whole championship.   On leg2 things went not so well, as he went off halfway through the legendary 46km Panzerplatte stage and damaged the radiator, forcing him into superrally.  On leg 3 bad luck continued and he would be forced to retire on the last stage with mechanical issues.   This rally would eventually be his last one (so far) in a non-4WD ...

  Here's a skin of Sami Pajari, from Rally Finland 2019 where he got a car by winning the Flying Finn Future Star competition.
