 If you are not familiar with the 1994 edition of the 1000 Lakes Rally yet, it was wild. Maybe most memorably, it is remembered as the first win and worldwide breakthrough an upcoming Finnish star driver, Tommi Mäkinen.  The rally started with two clear favourites. 4-time world champion Juha Kankkunen and a 30-year old Tommi Mäkinen. As a preparation for the rally, the pair had battled in Mänttä-ralli a couple weeks earlier. This was the first time Tommi managed to beat Juha fair and square. As Miki Biasion had stepped out of the 1000 Lakes, Ford's manufacturer team had called Tommi, the local star, to drive their car alongside Francois Delecour.  On SS2 Lankamaa, Juha famously rolled his Celica on his home road, and lost his chance of victory, despite him driving a madman run to finish in 9th. Incredibly, this stage also caught Ari Vatanen in his Red Bull-sponsored Escort Cosworth , as he lost his wheel and retired from the event. The local spectators were bummed to see...

2021 was a year of highs and lows for Teemu Suninen. Starting off with a SS1 crash in Monte Carlo started a snowball effect which gradually led to him being replaced by Adrien Fourmaux at M-Sport's WRC roster. Undeniable highlight of the year was his home rally, the newly rebranded Secto Rally Finland. He entered the rally with Printsport's Polo R5 with the backing of a Finnish businessman Markku Rautio.  He well and truly delivered a brilliant performance, winning WRC2 comfortably over the competitors like Mads Östberg, Emil Lindholm and Nikolay Gryazin.  In the pictures here you see him on SS1, resulting in 7th best time in WRC2, 1.56,0. Differently to the usual schedule, the Harju stage was driven in the middle of the day on Friday and at night time on Saturday evening.  This result launched him into getting a seat at Hyundai's WRC2 team, and even getting into the WRC car for Rally Monza due to Ott's absence. Hello! Finally time for a Teemu Suninen skin. This is his 2016 Rally Finland car when he was driving for the French Team Oreca in the first generation Skoda Fabia R5.   2016 was a big make it or break it year for Suninen, with both eyes aimed at one of the few World Rally Car seats for the 2017 season. He drove the full WRC2 season with Team Oreca's Skoda Fabia R5 and managed to clinch 2nd position, on equal points with Elfyn Evans and only 10 points behind Esapekka Lappi. 3 wins and a few podiums caught Malcolm Wilson's eye and he earned himself a move to M-Sport, mainly in the WRC2 class plus two rallies in the Fiesta WRC in 2017. Overall 2016 was probably the most competitive WRC2 field to this date, with the likes of Lappi, Evans, Tidemand and Kopecky all fighting for wins, which made his results even more impressive.  In Rally Finland the fight for win was only between Suninen and Lappi. Hello! The former Finnish WRC driver Kristian Sohlberg recently started driving RBR so I felt I had to make this skin of his from the Rally Finland 2005. You should check out his Twitch channel by the name of "OfficialKristianSohlberg".  The rally started on Friday with him fighting for top10 stage times on every stage in a very competitive entry list of 22 WRC cars. Unfortunately for him the fight ended in a crash early on Saturday morning in the Vaheri stage. > > > > DOWNLOAD < < < < NOTE! This skin only works on the Kazhol model of the Impreza so if you have an installation that doesn't use that model it will not work. The son of a Finnish rallying legend Sebastian Lindholm, Emil drove a VW Polo R5 for most of the 2019 season. Here is his skin from Rally Finland, his 5th WRC event.  He was the fastest R5 runner in the Friday opening stage but hit trouble after damaging a wheel on SS Moksi so his rally was ruined.   Here's a skin of Sami Pajari, from Rally Finland 2019 where he got a car by winning the Flying Finn Future Star competition. Hello everyone! New year, new blog! I will be posting skins I make for Richard Burns Rally, and possibly something related to the upcoming Harju 2019 stage as well in the future.  I want all cars available in RBR to have a Finnish driver livery available, so you can expect only them to keep coming, at least for the moment.  First skin on this site is one I released already almost a year ago.
